Company President Mohammed Kamara
earned his BA degree in Radio/TV/Film from Temple University
in Philadelphia, PA.; and a MA degree from the University of
Houston-Clear Lake. Kamara worked as a Production Technician
with the Space Shuttle Program at NASA, Houston, TX. His duties
included installation of security cameras, monitors, computer
terminal, as well as covering press conferences and carrying
out preventive maintenance. Prior to that, Kamara served in
the Peace Corps as an Audio-visual Technician in Gambia, West
Africa. His responsibilities included assessing training needs
and producing short instructional films and slide shows. He
also taught basic audio-visual and electronic courses at the
Vocational Training Center in Gambia. This experience inspired
Kamara to create Talking Drum Productions.
Pre-production
Pre-production is the first phase
in the production of a film or video. This includes location
scouting, discussing the project topic (subject), goal, and
budget. Pre-production also enables us to put a plan in place
well in advance.
Script writing and storyboarding:
whether you need an industrial film, a documentary or narrative
film, a corporate training film, or promotional DVD; enhance
your company's image, or improve employees' performance. Team
TDP will work with you in developing your idea from script to
screen, and then build the aesthetics around it. During this
pre-production phase, there are a few important issues that
need to be addressed well in advance before production starts.
For instance:
- We'd like to scout the location(s) where the filming will
take place: the parking lot condition, or office (space) situation
for any unnecessary and/or intrusive neighborhood/background
sounds such as passing vehicles and barking dogs; echoes in
the room, office or garage, or strong sunlight coming through
the window(s); and
- What extra or special equipment we might need to get the
job done, making sure that it is completed on time and within
budget.
Production
Formats (High definition or Standard definition): HD
